Variables such as container shape, labeling equipment, shrink tunnel design, and even the product in the container can directly affect shrink sleeve label material selection. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

  • High density film that shrinks at wide temperature ranges and is the easiest film to control in the shrink process
  • Has outstanding shrinkage rates, gloss, clarity, printing quality and high shrink ratio
  • Well known for its durability and low cost
  • High-shrinkage grade displaying ultimate shrinkage values over 60%
  • Great choice for a range of full-body labeling applications. Generally the most cost competitive material
  • Available in 40 to 70 micron

Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG)

  • Download PETG material spec sheet
  • PETG shrinks at a higher rate than other options, which requires proper control of shrink tunnel conditions to insure label appearance is not compromised
  • Shrink capability of up to 78% is also eco-friendly and easily recycled
  • It is the most costly material
  • BPA free
  • Available in 40 to 70 micron
