Flexible Packaging FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is flexible packaging?

Flexible Packaging is simply any product that is packed in a non-rigid package. Our flexible packaging includes flat bottom pouches and pillow pouches, bags, bar wraps, sachets, and stick packs. Please contact your customer service representative, or sales representative, to hear more about the different types of packaging we provide.

  • Do you package my product for me?

We do not package your products for you. We print and laminate film constructions. The printed film is given to a co-packer, who forms the package and inserts the product, making it shelf-ready.

  • Why should I consider flexible packaging?

Flexible packaging material is light weight, easy to transport and easy to open, store, and reseal. It has a significant impact on the total cost of the product when taking into consideration the supply chain, per foot storage, and shipping costs. This makes it the lowest percentage in waste of all packaging materials.

  • What information do I need to get a quote?

To provide you a quote, we need details about your project, such as packaging type, dimensions, product to be packaged, and quantities. If you are unsure of project details, our experienced customer service and sales team can walk you through the process. Please contact us at 1(800)201-7120 and we will be more than happy to assist you.

  • Is your packaging approved for contact with food?

All flexible packaging is produced in our Wisconsin location, which inspected by AIB International (American Institute of Baking). We are working towards BRC certification, hopefully to be completed soon! Proof of inspection/certification can be provided upon request.

  • What printing technology do you use?

We produce flexible packaging with digital equipment, focusing on short to medium runs. For larger runs, we offer printing on our flexographic press with the option to print up to 10 colors in one pass. As your business grows, we grow with you!

  • How long does it take for the packages to be produced?

Currently, we have a 4 to 5 week lead time from proof approval. Production could be longer depending on material requirements and special finishing needs.
